Frequently asked questions

Are Pro Control and 100 Series components compatiable?

No, each range has specific components that are only compatiable with individual Pro Control and 100 Series systems.

Do I need anodes on my trim tabs?

Anode use highly recommended, even if your boat is kept on a trailer, boat lift, or dry stack facility. Install the appropriate anode based on the type of water you are boating in. This will assist with protecting your tabs from electrolysis. Saltwater = ZINC or ALUMIMUM, Fresh = MAGNESIUM or ALUMINUM, Brackish = ALUMINUM. Keep them clean and replace as needed.

Should I bottom paint my trim tabs?

Your trim tabs can be bottom painted with a good metal bonding bottom paint. This will inhibit the growth of marine biologics on your trim tab blades. DO NOT PAINT BETWEEN THE ANODE AND THE BLADE. Bottom paint is not a substitute for anode protection.

What is the difference between single and dual?

Single means 1 actuator per side. Dual means 2 actuators per side.

Will my pre-2017 100 Series switch work with my new style 100 Series control box?

If I have an pre-2017 switch (from 100 Series range), is the replacement sold now a direct fit? Are the hole sizes the same in the console?

If I have an pre-2017 switch (from 100 Series range), is the replacement sold now a direct fit? Are the hole sizes the same in the console?

The face plates are the same size, but mounting hole will need enlarged. Provided the old system was installed per our instructions, it’s designed to be a plug and play. The old-style switches had the 4 threaded studs on them.

Will a Flybridge 100 Series switch work at my lower helm?

No. The flybridge switch will get its permissions from the lower station keypad that allows it to function as it should.
