Tests were carried out on automatic stabilization systems:
“Comparative testing was completed against competitive automatic boat stabilization systems on identical 26’ boats with full engine tuck to eliminate engine trim as a variable.
Data was obtained using multiple Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), accelerometers, data loggers and engine data.
Lenco’s Pro Control Automatic Trim Tabs stabilization system was tested and compared to the following competing automatic boat stabilization systems:
- Zipwake – (Series S – IT450S)
- Seakeeper Ride 450
- Humphree Lightning - L300
Testing was conducted in both calm and dynamic sea conditions and included analysis of auto levelling (response to weight shift), seakeeping, wake crossing, coordinated turns and time to get on plane.”
Testing was conducted with the same procedures and in similar conditions, analyzing variables such as pitch rate, roll rate and fuel economy.
